On the morning of August 14, Lochte and three teammates, Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger, and Jimmy Feigen claimed they were robbed at gunpoint by four men. A subsequent police investigation, however, found out that this was false and the group had actually been involved in an incident at a fuel station in Barra da Tijuca, which involved a destroyed bathroom and other vandalism while drunk. -
