Nose-If you aren’t looking to necessarily knock someone unconscious, the nose is a great target. It takes only 7-9 pounds of pressure to break a nose. The nose is the perfect place to hit someone when you’re really just looking to incapacitate them. Not only is it painful, it is connected to the tear ducts, leaving them teary-eyed and with blurred vision. -
3.
Chin & Jaw-Ever hear of the term “Glass Jaw” or “Glass Chin”? These describe those who can’t really take a punch, and to be truthful, most people who don’t fight have pretty weak chins. Because the jaw and chin area is so large, it is an easy spot to KO someone- and it doesn’t take a lot of power. A swift punch to this area can easily result in the brain temporarily shutting things down (KO) allowing you to GTFO of the danger you’re in. -
4.
The Neck-Austin Powers’ famous Judo Chop is the perfect example of a good neck attack… right? The human neck contains a nerve known as the Vagus Nerve, and when it is struck at a downward angle, can lead to dizziness, disorientation, and even a KO. -
5.
Behind the ear-There are bundles of nerves behind the ears that can really leave someone incapacitated when they’re hit hard there. In any respectable regulated fighting circuit, hits to the back of the head are completely illegal. In a street fight, or any ‘life or death’ scenario, these rules don’t apply. -
6.
Throat-A punch to the throat hurts on so many levels. In fact, a punch to the throat can leave a lot of permanent damage to someone, so this is something that really should only be used as a last resort. A quick and light ‘tap’ is more than enough to disorient someone enough for you to get out of danger. -

Solar Plexus-Situated just under the sternum, but a little bit over the stomach, this bad boy can be a real bitch to deal with when struck with some pressure. This punch (at an upward angle) can completely suck the wind out of someone and even knock them out. -
8.
Kidneys-The kidneys, as we all know, are incredibly valuable to the human body. So when they’re hit, the body goes “hell no” and makes sure you know to not do it again. A swift kidney shot (near the spinal chord to the back and under the rib cage) will leave your opponent on one knee, trust me on that. -
