What exactly were they going for here?

This man in his underwear is attempting a classic stunt: jumping through fire. Unfortunately, there are two issues: one, he’s not very good; and two, when dealing with fire, it’s usually a smart idea to wear clothes.

That said, he went through with it anyway, launching himself off of a fiery ramp and immediately into the dirt.
