We’ve recently discussed how bears are getting better at breaking into cars. Watching videos like these, some people got inspired — what if, instead of committing boring ol’ insurance fraud, we have a bear attack our car?

The problem with this idea is that it’s kind of hard to just have a bear attack your car, and so, these California schemers came up with a plan: have one person dress as a bear, destroy a pricey Rolls-Royce, then film the whole thing for insurance.

Upon reviewing the video, however, the insurers quickly figured out what was really happening, and the four people involved have been charged with insurance fraud and conspiracy.
