Rangers fans are down bad after last night.

In an absolute b*tch move that has NOTHING to do with hockey, this deranged fan absolutely cold-clocked, sucker punched, assaulted, a Tampa Bay Lightning fan last night at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers had just suffered a crushing defeat as Tampa scored the go-ahead goal with less than 2 minutes left in the game. So it makes sense why fans would be salty leaving 'the world's most famous arena.' But again this isn't about sports. This isn't what sports are about. This isn't what playoffs are about.

It's a cheap shot by a dirty fan-base. Sure, let's praise the New York fans who stayed to help this man to his feet after being laid out on the ground. That's the human thing to do.

The inhumane thing to do is run off like a coward after you flex your muscles because a team you like loses a sporting event. It's not okay. It's not okay in New York, it's not okay anywhere. Here's hoping this POS gets what's coming to him.
