Fire Truck Accidentally Slams Into Building
Emergency services were immediately notified — because they’re the ones who did it.
In the United States, our fire trucks are massive. There’s no real reason for this besides “big truck cool,” as plenty of other countries handle similar fires with significantly smaller trucks. It really seems like they came about because we have big roads in America, so we might as well have big vehicles to fill ‘em.
In other countries, however, fire trucks are much smaller and more navigable — a necessity given just how narrow some of those European roads can be. Still, sometimes, the roads are just too narrow, and the hazards too numerous, for them to be able to get through a city without an accident.
In this video, a fire truck was apparently trying to avoid a scooter when it went careening into a building. Thankfully, no one was injured, and they were able to continue onward to complete their job.
