Today director Todd Phillips posted on Instagram the first look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker from the upcoming "Joker" origin movie. In the film, Phoenix plays Arthur, a failed stand-up comic in 1980s New York, who decides to paint his face and turn to a life of crime. Robert DeNiro is also in the film as a talk show host who plays an instrumental role into Arthur's transition into the Joker. "Joker" is due out October 4, 2019.
