A year ago, a fish was spotted briefly forgetting that he was a fish.

Animals live complex lives that we still don’t really understand. Every day, it feels like we learn something new about our animal friends, from the complex social relationships developed by crows to just how much apes love jacking off.

Sometimes, this behavior can be confusing. Take, for example, this fish, who for some reason decided to spend a few seconds going a little wild before settling back into being a fish again.

Why? Who in God’s name knows.

So you can’t trust *anything* on planes these days. Got it.

Before every flight, flight attendants go through all of the safety mechanisms that you’ll, hopefully, never have to use. I say “hopefully” because, as it turns out, these things don’t always work that well.

According to Mexican news outlet 24 Horas, a woman named Xóchitl Zenteno Licona was participating in a practice run of exiting via an emergency slide on a plane when the slide suddenly popped, causing her to fall to the ground.

As a result, Licona suffered spinal fractures and required extensive surgery, which she’s now (understandably) suing over.
