An 84-year-old woman was driven by a Tennessee police officer to her hair appointment. Officer Lance Hoffmeister noticed an elderly woman walking along the side of a major roadway while on routine patrol.

Elizabeth Hood, the woman, explained to the officer that she just needed to walk an additional mile to her hair appointment because the bus could only take her so far. But Hoffmeister's generosity didn't stop there. He volunteered to drive her all the way to the salon. The policeman promises to pick her up again later.
