So you can’t trust *anything* on planes these days. Got it.
Before every flight, flight attendants go through all of the safety mechanisms that you’ll, hopefully, never have to use. I say “hopefully” because, as it turns out, these things don’t always work that well.
According to Mexican news outlet 24 Horas, a woman named Xóchitl Zenteno Licona was participating in a practice run of exiting via an emergency slide on a plane when the slide suddenly popped, causing her to fall to the ground.
As a result, Licona suffered spinal fractures and required extensive surgery, which she’s now (understandably) suing over.
