This inmate breaks down how the correctional officers in his line of sight make a little extra money off of the prisoners.
He claims that the first officer is willing to sell phones for $9,500. A steep asking price, but when demand is high and supply is low, prices will rise. The woman next to him sells a different kind of product, but her asking price is still high, at $1,500 for 10 minutes. I suppose you get desperate when you're locked up. The last cop supposedly works with the first cop, to confiscate phones for resale. Leave it to cops to master the prison business system.
This inmate claims that the middle cop is the "McDonald's plug," and speaks of him with a fond tone of voice. As one comment says, "I feel like the Macdonald’s plug maybe didn’t deserve to get lumped in with the rest of them." If the virality of this video puts their jobs at risk, hopefully, the McDonald's plug is spared.
