New guy alert! The oceans are still largely unexplored — not our fault that some animals decided to live under incredible amounts of atmospheric pressure. As time has progressed, however, we’ve figured out faster and better ways to reach the depths and pull up some of the bizarre characters that live throughout the ocean and on its floor. Recently, an expedition off the coast of New Zealand did just that and discovered a host of new fellas. Surprise surprise, they all kind of look like potatoes.

Sports conditioning may be complicated, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t part of it. The Paris Olympics have only just started and they’ve already provided some pretty incredible content, ranging from Snoop Dogg carrying the torch to the terrible cardboard beds. Now, we have whatever the hell this is: someone on the Japanese team massaging a competitor’s abs, then throwing in a little chest jiggle for good measure. Hey, it can’t hurt!
