There’s a lot that can happen to you if you try to rob a place. Most of those things are bad; while you may have dreamt about “getting away with it,” chances are high that you’re going to get caught and that the $600 of Levi’s you stole aren’t going to be worth your punishment.

Often, that punishment comes through the legal system months after the event. Sometimes, however, that justice is immediate — and carried out using a big stick.
