A fiery crash during the final lap of the Daytona 500 ended up taking out the pack leaders. Once the smoke cleared the Daytona 500 had one of the biggest upset winners in its history: Michael McDowell, 36-year-old veteran who makes the Great American Race his first-ever Cup Series victory. Everyone involved walked away from the huge crash.
