Massive Explosion and Fire Hits Missouri Lithium Battery Plant
Local residents have been forced to evacuate after a fire broke out at a Missouri lithium battery plant.
The plant, which is in Fredericktown, is one of the world’s largest lithium-ion battery processing facilities. According to the Missouri Independent, the plant had previously claimed to have “likely the most sophisticated automated and remote supervised and controlled fire suppression systems in the world.”
While this may have been true, it was clearly not effective enough to suppress this fire. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far, but the videos emerging from the explosion and subsequent fires is pretty wild to watch.
