Woman Coming out of Liquor Store is Instantly Arrested for Leaving her Young Child in a Hot Car

A woman faces child endangerment charges after leaving her 14 month old in a hot car while she was inside the liquor store.

Police in Owasso Oklahoma responded to a call at a liquor store parking lot involving a young child that seemed distressed left inside a car that was not running. As police arrive on scene Gretchen Markovics was exiting the store and was promptly arrested.

The officer had Markovics unlock the vehicle and then immediately put her in handcuffs. The child was taken to a nearby medical center and was placed into the state's Department of Human Services. Markovics was charged with child endangerment and is currently being held at the Tulsa County jail.
