Table tennis is a way more intense sport than you might think, especially at the Olympic level. While you may consider the sport as a game you play when you’re nearly too drunk to stand, these professionals know how to whip and spin the ball to create a captivating and super fast game that provides loads of entertainment for viewers.


At a recent match during the Paris 2024 Olympics, this Swedish competitor knew he was going to lose to his Chinese opponent. With that knowledge, he decided to do something fun: a trickshot that would almost surely backfire. Unbelievably, it worked, resulting in both a point for him and a laugh from his competitor.

North Korea has experienced incredible flooding in recent weeks. Given the difficulty of getting information out of the country, the total number of dead and displaced is presently unclear, though estimates put the number around 1,500.


In the past few days, Kim Jong Un has been touring the country to assess the damage, usually on a small motor boat. On one of these trips, the pilot of the boat plowed the dear leader straight into a tree. While there’s no evidence that anything negative happened to him as a result, if I were him, I’d probably get my affairs in order.
