I get it’s a joke, but did you need to tase the guy?

Police officers like to have a bit of fun. Unfortunately, that “fun” tends to be a detriment to society at large, but at least we can appreciate that they’re trying to have a good time in the moments when they’re not shooting your dog.

For the holidays, this police department decided to stage a robbery featuring a man in a Grinch costume. While the robbery is fake and the bodycam footage is part of the joke, they still appear to shoot the person in the costume with a taser.

Of course, it’s unlikely that they were actually tased, but it still begs the question: What was the point of all of this again?
