After laying eggs on the beach, locals were seen riding on the back of this giant turtle. Leatherbacks are the largest of all living turtles, growing up to 6 feet and weighing between 550 & 2000 pounds. With an estimated lifespan of only 30 years, the turtles are now facing extinction with declining populations in the Pacific Ocean.
