Teens Are Destroying Their Brains With ‘Galaxy Gas,’ aka Flavored Nitrous

With weed legal in many states, and weed analogues available in others, one might think that there were already more than enough ways for teenagers to get high.

However, that doesn’t appear to be the case. While teens have always played around with drugs, a new trend has taken over youth drug culture — and it can be bought at your local gas station.

Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, has long been abused by partiers, as anyone who’s ever witnessed someone selling balloons outside a concert will tell you. Now, however, the drug has spiked in popularity, with cops confiscating countless canisters from music festivals and artists like Kanye West begging their jacked dentist to give them “the Nitrus.”

One of the forms in which this is sold is “Galaxy Gas,” a product that claims to exist to produce flavored whipped creams. That said, teens are treating these babies like Juul pods, hitting them for the flavor and experiencing the host of side effects that come with doing a whippit (for example, brain damage and liver damage).

They’re also posting their experiences with the drug online. Not good!
