These days, everything is more expensive, and there’s really not much you can do about it. Consequently, people are looking for any way they can to make money — and often, that involves ripping other people off.

While scalping used to simply be for concert passes and tickets to sporting events, now, it appears that everything has a price, including free appointments at the DMV. Local Miami-Dade reporters are claiming that the DMV’s online system, which allows people to make appointments for free online, has been taken over by bots and scammers, who are reserving places and selling those spots for anywhere from $50 to $250.

The worst part? It’s (very likely) technically legal, so if you need to renew your license anytime soon, get ready to open your wallet!
