In case that wasn’t already obvious.

Everyone knows that when you buy a product, you’re not just paying the total cost of the item. Sure, there are additional expenses for things like marketing and storage, but most people understand that businesses will mark up their products significantly above cost in order to turn a profit.

However, most people don’t know just how significant those markups can be. Now, they’re finding out — and they’re not thrilled about it.

Thanks to the recent tariffs, there’s been a lot of internet discussion about how much things will cost in the future. In response, manufacturers in China are showing just how little companies pay to get their “luxury” goods made in the country — and, if you’re clever, how much money you can save by coordinating with the manufacturer directly.

Sure, there’s gonna be a tariff involved, but if saving $80 means not having a “Dior” logo on the front of your foundation case, I think that’s a bargain most people are willing to make.
