Passengers onboard a Wednesday evening flight from New York to Orlando, Florida found themselves in a scary situation after a man erupted into shouting during the flight. The man who has not been identified started yelling that a mother and her (possibly autistic child as another passenger describes) sitting behind him were jabbing him with a needle to steal his DNA. He continued to show that he would "smack every Motherf**ker on this plane", threatened a baby, and eventually said he would kill everyone on board.

The airplane was forced to divert from its intended destination to make an emergency landing in Raleigh, North Carolina because of the incident. In the videos shared on Twitter, you can see several male passengers physically restraining and tieing down the man as the plane prepares to land.

The incident comes after the Federal Aviation Administration adopted a stricter legal enforcement policy against unruly airline passengers in the wake of a rise in incidents where passengers have disrupted flights with threatening or violent behavior. The agency has received 394 unruly passenger reports so far in 2022.
