After being struck by a bolt of lightning a wind turbine in Cornwall, TX caught fire and burnt to the ground. But before it went down in a raging ball of nature's flame, it did its best to keep on spinning, giving its final surge of power to generate one last bit of energy.
The scene was captured and shared on Twitter where it gained over 10 million views and 250 thousand likes. The smoke rings blowing in the wind as the turbine continues to spin, engulfed in flames is an oddly soothing visual display. Almost calming but in a sort of sad and twisted kind of way.
You could say this is a metaphor for a great number of things. The state of the world, the state of your own life, but let this windmill stand for itself, let this high-tech machine burn like only it can, beautifully.
