Viral Video of Woman Breastfeeding Cat Is Clearly Fake

The viral video of a woman being filmed breastfeeding her Lynx on an airplane is clearly a fake. So why did it trick so many people, we'll the short answer, is people want to believe what they see on the internet. Plus, they're gullible.

While the video in question is fake, the story is real. A few weeks ago, we wrote about the true story of a woman on a Delta flight who was told to stop breastfeeding her cat. According to the Delta flight attendant, Ainsley Elizabeth, the woman in question was holding her hairless cat swaddled up like a baby while trying to force it to drink her milk.

The tricky thing about viral fakes, which are based on real events, is when people Google to confirm them through news sources, they do end up finding their proof, giving the fake video cover.

It's truly a devious strategy and it isn't a new one, but a much more evolved way of tricking the internet.

And if we're being honest, this video stunk from a mile away. That airplane had too much legroom to be real.
