As I sit here, I am listening to children play in the parking lot next door.... nothing wrong with that, except it's a bar parking lot.  One of them is around 10 and the other can't be any older than 6.    They are outside alone, and every so often their father of the year comes out for a smoke, and to check on them....  best part about it all is that they drove there, and will most likely be driving home.

Why is it that the people who shouldn't be having children, have the most children?  What makes people think that their buddies want to help watch over your children (one of which probably has school tomorrow) while they suck back a few brewskies?  This is a sports bar, so I can probably imagine all of the old fucks in there, complaining to themselves about how they came there to escape their families, and children.

Now, please don't think that I'm bitching about something that is rare... because it isn't. A few weeks ago I was in there for a few, and some group of people came in and one of them had a baby with them.   They let the kid out of the stroller and it wandered around the bar. Every now and then one of the people in the group would go looking for the kid, who was usually behind the bar and playing with a coaster that one of the tenders was so nice to give to the neglected child.   Of course being as opinionated as I am, was always looking to make sure someone had an eye on her.  During one of my glances, the mother of this child actually gave me a dirty look, which mind you, was hard to make out behind her obviously plastered being.
